Looking back, Looking Ahead
Teens + 2007, under the Children Worldwide banner and held at Dalesdown, was an amazing week. The theme for the week was Caleb and the Spies (from Numbers 13 & 14). Using this story we taught the teenagers about God’s promises and we also looked at worship, evangelism and mission as main themes throughout the week in seminars and evening meetings.
There was an afternoon of social action that all the teenagers took part in, where we did a litter pick in Ashington village. This was received really well and the Horsham Parish Council was very thankful for all that the young people did in the village.
I have faith that this was a very significant week for all of the teens. A picture was given at the end of the week of a large bowl of fruit. This spoke to me and the rest of the team as an encouragement that the week was very fruitful. Some of the teenagers stayed on in order to become junior leaders of Teens camp which also was a real encouragement.
Prayers were answered and God was good. Please continue to pray for:
the teenagers as they return to life at home, college, work or as they head off to university
the team as the recover from the camp(s). There are some members of the team that are already facing attack so please pray for God to protect and strengthen them
wisdom for the future of Teens + camps

Schools
It has been a good year for schools with Carl going in regularly to Hove Park Lower and Upper Schools as well as Blatchington Mill 6th Form. The response has been great in all of these projects and students at Blatchington Mill have asked the team to continue running the club in the new term
This new term also sees the Hove Park clubs continuing and more opportunity’s arising for both Carl and Jon at St. Mary’s Hall.
New York
Jon is due to be going off to the Big Apple on 6th September – 12th September. He has been invited to a prayer initiative at the Headquarters of the United Nations. He will be part of a group of some 350 adults and children praying for the UN and for the nations of the world. Whilst there he will also attend a service at Ground Zero commemorating the 6th anniversary of 9/11.
