‘Jon’s Journey’

This is just a quick ‘extra’ to let you know some urgent prayer news.

You may have heard about the so-called ‘Healing Revival’ that is currently happening in Florida under the ministry of a Canadian evangelist, Todd Bentley. Some sort of outpouring of the Holy Spirit has been going on for over a month now and God TV has been covering it extensively. There have been many, many miraculous healings which have been televised and broadcast around the world. Further information is also available on Todd’s own website – www.freshfire.ca, on God TV’s website – www.god.tv, and on the website of the church in Lakeland, Florida that hosted the conference where this revival broke out – www.ignitedchurch.com.

Beccy and I have been watching quite a lot of the coverage whilst we continue to pray for my full healing. Invitations are being broadcast repeatedly for people to come and see for themselves what is happening and several of our friends and contacts have visited Florida in the last few weeks. They have all brought back good reports, confirming this to be a move of God.

We have been praying about me going and, partly because I have been feeling so unwell lately, I felt open to going but not by myself. On Thursday a wonderful brother and mutual friend of my great buddy John O’Brien, in Sheffield, invited me to join his small group. All the arrangements were in place ready for me!

Beccy and I believe this is my opportunity to go and to receive a touch from the Lord. I will fly out from Gatwick on Thursday morning, returning overnight on Tuesday / Wednesday next week (20th / 21st). I am going, I believe, in weakness and obedience:

©      to seek God for my full and final healing!

©      to bring back some of the revival fire to the UK and to the children especially;

©      on behalf of a dear friend who has been told she is terminally ill.
